Featured Poem -November-

Why We Embrace Fury

Ship the truth across the sea

Its ebb and flow moves gently

Truth be told we pass through life
Moments of joy and mountains of strife

We are experiencing great change
But each day passes and only our hearts transform

Facing demons, confronting monsters
Slowly the truth reaches the shore

Stand upright, speak directly to the beast
Never hide, live freely your earth-born flight.

In its first year of inception, sia delphi poetry established the
event Peace Has No Color. Bringing together artists, poets,
musicians and singers, and non-profit groups, Peace Has
No Color was a hit two years running. The event was created to
celebrate of social change, equality and diversity while embracing

The word "sia"  is a metaphor created by JenPoetess. "sia" stands
for "starving in america." "sia" also means "hello" in some
African villages.

In the fall of 2005, sia delphi poetry published limited editions
of J.D. Samuel's first full-length poetry book: "sia (starving in
america)." The work contained five parts, hundreds of poems
and dealt with life, identity and growing up in Philadelphia while
overcoming the loss of death, including murder, and additional
personal obstacles.

sia delphi poetry is working with artist T.M. Samuel on the two
ground-breaking books by renowned pianist Angela Falco.

YES, WE CAN! change happens. the world is watching.
we deserve to stand for change that brings together all people.
We deserve a change that inspires and listens and is HONEST.
Water can erode mountains. We, as a people, can move change.
No matter what the political outcome of this election,
we must declare change within ourselves.
The nefarious age of materialism and war must end.
We must declare liberty.

...the day escapes... or do we as a People awake?
